This needlepoint cushion pattern is adapted from a Gaziantep, 18th c. carpet motif.

The repeating use of kocboynuzu ram's horn, motif called toplu kocboynuzu is used to symbolise feritility.  The desire for unison is protected against evil eye with the help of hook and eye motifs.
